Appreciating Life

Today I pray that I learn how to love well. I have been gifted with an awesome life and a great husband. Life is truly like a garden that we should always feel and touch, and turn the leaves over in case there are worms who feed on its very life. It is important to be patient with each other and watch how another one grows. My plants in my garden each has its own way of living. Some want to take it slow, others want to spurt right back after they have grown one way or another. Some of my plants like the beautiful Pikake take turns to bloom and join me in welcoming guests by blooming all together when the time is near. My husband and I are like the blooms in the garden yet we are also part of each other's garden. We grow at our own pace but we need to be certain that the other is well cared for. We need to take each other seriously when it is called for, and laugh together when it is better for the moment. I hope that I would always appreciate the things that my husband do- as he does with all that I do. I appreciate the every moment in the garden of our lives by giving sweet words, by listening to words unsaid and even looking forwards and backwards like the breeze that propel leaves to grow.
